We here at Niagara Dental Implant and Oral Surgery recognize that, it is not every day that you or your child has oral surgery. We are well aware that this can be a frightening experience for all age groups. That is why we make every effort to make this experience as comfortable and easy for you as we can. This starts with with your first contact with our office where you will receive information for registering online, in the comfort of your own home. Where possible, you will be informed regarding your financial responsibility before your first appointment.
Your initial appointment will consist of an evaluation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. It is during this time that you will have the opportunity to have all of your questions answered by Dr. Nigalye or Dr. Bryan.
A consultation will be done to evaluate the best course of action for your individual care and a unique treatment plan will then be created. In some circumstances, based on your medical background, a medical clearance may be needed before moving forward with treatment
All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all appointments. A preoperative evaluation and physical examination is mandatory for patients undergoing IV anesthesia for surgery. Please have nothing to eat or drink eight hours prior to your surgery. You will also need a responsible adult to drive you home.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).
We work very closely with your dentist or physician. So if he/she has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office if he/she has not already done so. If there is not enough time, please pick them up and bring them to our office. If additional films are necessary, they can be taken at our facility.
We’re here for you.
